1984 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia -Rode Hard, Put Away Wet
This machine has been a dream of mine for quite some time now. Now saddled with a family of four, it seemed like a good time to pack up the kids and go on Colorado adventures.

Chris wants to Camp, I like to wrench..  I also LOVE VW's. Obviously, this is the ultimate choice.

Yes, it has a stove, fridge, sink, 2 beds and smells like weed.
No, Although I would love to, I can't make it cool. This example is so rusted out that it would be a lost cause to really use it for anything more than a large metal tent and something to drive me to work and back.. For that, I christen it "RUSTFALIA"
It's very fun.. I like it a lot. Right now I'm busy fixing EVERYTHING. There's nothing on the Van that doesn't need work.

On a pleasing note, it is now May 2009. I have fixed absolutely everything wrong with my little westy from running gear to engine, and I would have to say that in addition to being the most favorite car I own, I have not even cracked the boot-hood-bonnet in probably 9 months. The van starts, idles, runs, drives PERFECTLY.
I have owned it for two years now and have taken the family on camping trips each summer. I drive it to work every other week and get mad compliments from all the girls. What more could you ask for?
